Is summer camp for 2020 still happening?

YES! We are planning for CAMP COMBE to be open! At this time, we anticipate opening our summer day camp programs as planned beginning June 29th. We know that there is no better place for kids to connect, make new friends, try new things, and discover their potential.

Our team is hard at work, meeting regularly to plan for all necessary precautions to make sure that we are following all CDC, local, state and government guidance. If guidance changes, we will adapt our plans as needed. We will continue to keep lines of communication open and transparent as summer approaches. One thing we know for sure: Kids will need Camp Combe now more than ever and we can’t wait to see you!

Can I still register for summer camp?

Yes! We think after all we have been through these past weeks kids will need camp more than ever. We also want you to be able to register for camp with confidence, so you can reserve your child weeks, without a deposit payments at this time. **NEW** What happens if I cancel my camp registration or it is cancelled by the Y or a governing agency?

If you withdraw your child before June 15th or if your program is cancelled by our Y or a governing agency at any time, here are your options:

  • Give a Gift: Donate funds already paid or a portion of funds paid. We will be happy to provide a tax receipt for your thoughtful and generous gift.
  • Get a Credit: Apply the funds you’ve paid to a future camp experience or program.  We will hold the credit through September 1, 2021.
  • Get a refund: Receive a refund of all deposits & payments paid through June 15, 2020.

If you withdraw your child after June 15, 2020, our standard cancellation policy will be in effect. If you have questions regarding cancelling, please contact us at

What is the Y doing to prioritize health and safety for my child at camp?

At the Y, our priority is always the health and safety of your child.  In addition to the many steps we take every day to protect the health of our campers, volunteers and staff, we will work closely with our YMCA team to incorporate recommendations from local, state and national agencies and follow guidance from the American Camp Association for a healthy camp community for all. We will circulate all procedural changes, adjustments we’re making and other considerations on this website during future updates.  Updated Parent handbooks will be shared the week of May 26th.

WHAT should we do about camper medicals?

We understand that many campers were unable to get update physicals at this time. Please provide us with the most up to date physical and let us know when you are able to schedule a follow up appointment. We are anticipating more information in the next few weeks from the Department of Health regarding this as well.

How can I receive the most up-to-date information about summer camp?

Continue to check your email for communication around summer camp and follow us on Facebook & Instagram as we will post updates as they develop.

Please also always feel comfortable to reach out and contact us at with any specific questions or concerns.

**NEW** WHen are camp payments due?

Payments in full need to be made prior to your child attending their first week of camp. If you have questions regrading payments, please contact us at

Are you still providing BUSING this summer?

At this time, we anticipate running busing as planned this summer.  Our team is hard at work, meeting  all necessary precautions to make sure that we are following all CDC, local, state and government guidance. If guidance changes, we will adapt our plans as needed.

**NEW** Are trips running this summer?

Out of an abundance of caution for the health and safety our campers and staff we have make the difficult decision to cancel all off camp trips and activities. As it is out of our control how other facilities will handle the CDC guidance regarding COVID, we felt it best to cancel to minimize the risk.
